TRIGGER/CONTENT WARNING

Dead End contains two scenes that detail a strong sense of hopelessness in the teenage protagonist’s life. Although the word suicide is not specifically mentioned, Maria does experience intense thoughts of hopelessness. In the second chapter, there is a scene in which a temptation to “let go” occurs, which is an obvious reference to suicide.

This is not the theme of the book and is not something Maria deals with more than twice.

We take this subject matter very seriously, as two people who recently lost a close family member to suicide. Although our protagonist is able to overcome these thoughts, we understand and respect that not everyone is comfortable reading about it, hence the content warning.
